Tester Guide

Start here

1. Sign in and accept the beta agreement. One tap, first sign-in only.
2. Add your resume and targets. A short setup in Profile & Settings — About Me, My Target, and Files. That's all Cleo needs to start.
3. Approve your first role. From the email Cleo sends you, or from Opportunities. Cleo then builds the whole package on its own — tailored resume, why work there, and outreach drafts.
4. Tell us what was off. Rate the package email (1–5 stars, one line) and use Send feedback whenever something is unclear.

You stay in control

Cleo curates opportunities and prepares recommendations. You choose your targets, approve resume changes, decide what to send, and control each application's status. Cleo does not apply or contact anyone without your action.

• Edit any drafted outreach before it goes anywhere.
• Add a recruiter update on the Application page.
• Add a contact from Recruiters.
• Move a job's status on Pipeline (New → Applied → Interview → Offer).
• Tune your profile and targets in Profile & Settings.
• Add a job you found yourself from Discover — paste a URL and Cleo processes it like any surfaced role.

The flow at a glance

1. Overnight scan. Cleo goes through the market against your profile every night and keeps only roles that match your level, pay and location — roles published in the last 24 hours first.
2. Your call, by email. Cleo emails you the matches with two buttons: Approve, or Reject. Each one asks you to confirm and works only once.
3. The package builds itself. The moment you approve, Cleo picks the right resume, tailors it (summary, keywords, bullet phrasing — never employers, titles or dates), writes a "why work at this company" piece, and drafts outreach for any named recruiter or hiring manager. Nothing is sent.
4. Checked before you see it. If a line can't be backed up by your own resume, Cleo stops and asks you for more details rather than handing you something wrong.
5. Ready to apply? The package email ends with Yes / No. Yes opens the employer's page and moves the role to Applied with follow-ups set. No changes nothing.
6. Interview package. Locked until an interview is set. Once a role reaches Interview, Cleo offers it and builds it only when you ask.

Cleo is still being tested. Features, workflows, and usage limits may change. If something is unclear or prevents you from continuing, use Send feedback.

How Cleo protects accuracy

Cleo uses verified resume and profile evidence during Match & Tailor.

• Evidence checks: Unsupported claims are excluded from active recommendations.
• You approve changes: Nothing is applied until you approve it. Your edits are preserved in history and validated before use.
• Protected facts: Employers, titles, dates, and numbers are checked before and after tailoring.
• Validated resume exports: Tailored resumes are rendered and checked against your selected page target and source content before being saved.
• Your master stays untouched: Cleo creates a new document rather than editing your original.

Your data

Your resume, targets and documents are used to operate Cleo for you — scoring roles, tailoring resumes, sending approvals and reminders. We do not sell your data. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.

Known limits while we test

• Daily limits apply to market scans, approvals, resume work and Ask Cleo. The exact number depends on the plan set on your account — when you reach one, Cleo tells you and you can ask us to raise it.
• Your tester access runs for 20 days from your invitation. We'll check in on day 7 and day 14.
• Match & Tailor is rolling out gradually, so it may not be switched on for your account yet.
• Voice and tone are still being tuned — tell us when something sounds off.

How to send feedback

• In-app: Click Send feedback in the left sidebar — on any page. Pick a category (blocker, bug, confusing, idea, praise), write what happened, and attach a screenshot if it helps (images, up to 5 MB).
• Stuck? Choose Blocker — that one reaches the Cleo team immediately. Everything else arrives in our daily summary.
• We automatically record the page, your account, the time and the app build with your report, so you don't have to describe where you were.
• Star + one-liner from the package email.
• Brutal honesty > politeness. We can't fix what we don't hear.
